Make-Up Typology

MAKE-UP TYPOLOGY

Colour excites... Colour is a luminous energy.

Colour is unique to us. We can be defined by a range of colours that we can find within ourselves – our colour typology.

Typology is defined by the colour of our eyes, our hair, our complexion and our personality.

Once identified, our individual typology will guide the choice and application of make-up colours – personalizing our make-up to match our natural colours.

Sothys: a different approach to colour... By defining typologies of people...
THE COLOURS OF EACH TYPOLOGY

LIGHT TYPOLOGY
A generally delicate and fresh appearance that emerges gently and subtly.
The complexion is light, and skin is fine or even transparent. The eyes are also light to medium. The hair can be any shade of blond running into medium chestnut or brown.

DEEP TYPOLOGY
Mediterranean to dark tones, the style is assertive and powerful with contrast given to a greater or lesser extent by particularly dark hair. The eyes have a dark intensity; the complexion varies from dark beige to black.

WARM TYPOLOGY
A halo of golden warmth is given off from these flamboyant personalities. The hair varies from glowing blond through reds to warm brown. The complexion is ivory tinged with apricot or copper often sprinkled with freckles.

COOL TYPOLOGY
With cool blue, grey or brown eyes of average intensity, and ash-blond hair and skin with pink or even bluish tints.

BRIGHT TYPOLOGY
A lively, radiant and crystal-clear image is portrayed especially in the eyes with a marked contrast between the various natural colourings.

The blue, green or almost black eyes are sparkling. The complexion is pure, pearly or even translucent, while the hair is a definite colour from platinum blonde to raven black.

MUTED TYPOLOGY
An overall soft effect that gives an impression of both softness and hidden strength at the same time. There are few contrasts: the eyes are often flecked, the hair has natural highlights and the complexion has a suntanned appearance, sprinkled with freckles.
